Difficulty Level: Class III & IV
General Characteristics:
- Pacuare is considered one of the best rivers for Whitewater rafting in the world.
- Enormous scenic beauty, including waterfalls, and a world renowned river canyon.
- Rapids and activity levels vary throughout the river. Many smaller Class II rapids, up to and including a few Class IV rapids.
- Water is a beautiful color, very inviting for rafters.
Time in the river: 3.5 hours of activity.
Location: 135 KM from San Jose, in a town known as Tres X, in the Limon Province, between Siquirres and Turrialba. Approximately 3 hours from San José.
Schedules: Daily. Departure from San Jose 6:00 AM, Return 6:00 PM

For ages 12 and up. Ideal for travelers with plenty of time to dedicate to this adventure who don’t want to miss the opportunity to raft this prestigious river. This is a full day activity, from anywhere in the country.
From San Jose or the Caribbean Coast, with round trip transportation, and meals included, $99 pp minimum .
